Wearing shoes that match your skin tone can make your legs look longer and your outfit more pulled together, but up until recently, “nude” shoes have only come in shades of peach. Christian Louboutin sells heels and flats in a range of shades for all ethnicities, but it’s still pretty hard to find affordable nude footwear. Enter new shoe line Rebecca Allen.
“As a black woman, there was no ‘nude’ for me in the marketplace,” says Allen, a former VP at Goldman Sachs. “So I scoured swatches and borrowed my friends’ feet to find five nude shades to complement women from dark to light.”
The brand’s heels are made of 100 percent leather, with a cushioned insole and a lacquered outsole. The heel height is three inches, meaning you can wear them all day without killing your feet. Shop the exclusive styles in each shade below.
